I'd like to get together a list of good resources for the science forums. If you know of any credible websites that provide free information, please post them here. Also, if you know any good books, you may recommend them. I'll put together a database of the information once we have enough. Free e-books would also be a good addition.

Please only post links if you have thoroughly reviewed the material.

I had gathered links for many good scientific sites.I only remember few now. I'll try to find these sites again. But until then, I have two links and a book to suggest.

1:http://www.godlikeproductions.com/bbs/message.php?page=1&messageid=191269 This is a source of free e-books in pdf format. Not only scientific books but I believe all of them are interesting. They are virus-checked by the way. Personally I don't find it ethical right if I may say so, to download some of them since they can be bought but I have my own and weird moral code and this site is a treasure of knowledge nonetheless.

2:http://www.livescience.com/ It provides information regarding every field of modern science. Useful if someone is not in search for very advanced theories.

3:The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking. I own this book and I suggest it to everyone who wants to learn about the advanced theories of today and tomorrow but doesn't have advanced knowledge in mathematics.
