 Seeing energy...not auras

I wanted to know it anyone has heard of this. I've asked around for years and no one has. Thought I'd try on here. What I see is best described as swirls. Of colors. Like black holes that suck at the colors. And there are actual black smudges and spots. They tell me how many bad things a person has done and if I think on it enough I can start to tell what it is they actually did. The direction and pattern the swirls make tell me whether they are a good person or not and whether I will like them or relate to them. My fiance has something like a "shield" over his chest. Anyone read Harry Potter? You know how they describe the invisibility cloak? That's the color and look it has. But it is like armor and he has some on his wrist too? He's the only person I've ever seen with it. Can anyone explain this. I am positive it is not auras. I can see those too, but this is like inside the person's body. Not around it. Like it's their soul.

Well, I have heard a friend mention energy as a sort of swirling for her before as well; she and I worked together briefly and in that time she had brought her pendulum.
She said that the pendulum swung a certain direction depending on the energy and what was going on with it; I don't remember which direction meant what, but this is the first thing that came to mind when I read this.

there are things in the world that no one understands or can begin to understand. i can give a reason behind this but i have no idea if this is even possible but if i had to say there is the chance that the soul is connect directly to his soul and and transmit a shield like thing to protect him and the ones he loves from the dangers of the world.

That is the best thought I've ever been given. That actually makes sense as he seems like a protector, worldly and otherwise.

Yes! When I work with energy I often visualise it as being, for lack of a better way to describe it, swirling air. I don't actually 'see' the energy but I visualise it as you have described.

Auras are energy fields connected to the physical body. An Aura isn't necessarily just outside of the body or has to be related to chakras or whatever. It's just the name of the part of the energy field connected to our body, and can relate to and show us the insides of the body, or on other levels of the soul or emotional levels or... gods... so many levels of the person.
Energy interacts with energy, with thought, the body, illness, our expectations, our subconscious thought forms... it interacts with everything about us and our connections with other people.
This sounds to me like you're simply seeing another part of their energy field, on many different levels. *Claps* 
Within the energy field of a person, energy can form into representations of thoughts and feelings and concepts, for example, I have a few thoughtforms connected to some past-life injuries in my energy field, those injuries do not have a physical injury for this life to connect to, but I still get physical aches where they are in my energy, and the massive one in my shoulder has been seen by many a psychic... they're like memories of past lessons that I needed to remember. They affect me on many different levels, and have manifestations in my energy field that some sensitives/psychics like yourself can see/sense. Other people have similar thoughtforms, some from past lives, some from present life injuries, some from present life emotional or mental or spiritual stuff, and some thoughtforms are manifestions of a persons personality or their ideas of who they are.

Well i have energy sight.
It was crappy at first and all i could see was indeed a field of moving colours around a person, ot the aura by the way.
The aura i could never see untill recently so i can keep them appart.
But i started out as visualizing what i was making with energy and like sort of pulling that image over into my eyes.
I have been away for training so i have gained a lot better sight by now.
Although i can`t say what a person is yet or anything, but i have it more with things that get cast out of a person, like what that person makes or does with his energy.
Also heard of this 3rd eye thing where you use your chackra to see.
But that isn`t really working out for me.
