Past or Present?
Dream
|
 |
|
To start off, my dreams are almost always from 3rd person perspective, I just intuitively know who everyone is (if they're specific people) regardless of what they look like in the dream.
This dream I had two nights ago. I dreamed that I was some kind of incorporeal humanoid whose function it was to show people what they can do and achieve, punish those who "deserved" it, and that sort of thing. In one scene of the dream I was in some kind of art gallery type of warehouse making the vases on shelves fly off and crash until I left through the window (which was closed, so phased through solid glass) seeming quite happy with myself. In another scene, I was in someone's library watching them, but them seemed to know I was there even though I wasn't visible to anyone (being non-physical and all). I saw a woman reading a book on some kind of "grey magic" that seemed to explain the processes I was basically creating/enacting. I feel like that book had something to do with describing the me in the dream. When I left the library it was through , again, a glass window, but through holes that I had created. In the third scene I was in a square where a party was going on and either gave a man powers or brought his own power forth to defend himself and/or a woman against some kind of aggressor. The party and the square were reminiscent of carnevale in europe.
The thing about this dream is, I'm unsure if it has something to do with this life and the present/future, or my past life as what I believe to be some sort of angel of death.
So...feedback?

Sorry it's taken so long to reply; I've had a lot going on and haven't really been able to sit down and think.
Anyways, I'm guessing that it's something reflective of this life, and current beliefs from a past life, not necessarily something from a past life, if that makes sense.
(note, feel free to answer the rhetorical questions if that's what you want, but I'm mostly just asking them to get you to think)

Rhetorical questions: Do you think you do this already in some sort of way, or do you think you might have done that in another life? If you think it was from another life, do you think that the dream was showing you this, or was reflecting your beliefs?
As you know, dreams are often random spewings of leftover thoughts and such. If you've been doing a lot of thinking lately, perhaps it's just the dream doing what dreams do: reflecting thoughts. Regardless of whether that's what you actually did or not.

Rhetorical question: what does art represent to you? Inspiration, talent, natural inclination, showing off, hard work, perfection, imperfections, etc?
Perhaps, whatever it represents to you, you see other people exhibiting this. Or, if you go with Freud, it could represent you either exhibiting X, or wanting to exhibit X.
Actual question: were there other people in the gallery with you?

Rhetorical question: is there any scenario in your life where you don't want to be noticed right now? Any part that you don't want others to see?

By "grey magic", do you mean that it was magic that was neither "dark" nor "light"?

| I feel like that book had something to do with describing the me in the dream. |
Rhetorical question: Is someone trying to tell you something about you that you don't want to hear? Or, alternately, do you think someone else has the answers you are looking for (for anything that may be top of your priorities right now)?

Generic dream symbolism says that windows represent hope. RQ: Are you hoping for something that been bugging you? Something that doesn't seem reachable, but that you are determined to reach anyway?

Also, as you know, I can't answer this for you, because I don't know either But, Occlam's Razor and all that, yes?
If it doesn't seem to represent anything going on now, or anything you've been thinking/feeling lately, then perhaps you could consider that it might be a past life memory, or something dealing with a past life memory indirectly.
And hey, when are you coming back? I miss you! And plus, it's just not the same without Sera's welcome committee XD
Hope you figure this out

No worries, I just poke my head in here now and again.

Yes, at least two that I can recall and they were scared poopless.

Dunno. I'm starting my gym membership this week complete with physical training because I really need to get in shape. So hopefully that starts me off on a regular meditation, work out, work shedule to get myself back in order. So hopefully not that far in the future?
I hope I figure it out too.

Hmm, it sounds to me like some sort of intimidation. Perhaps you think you, or actually do, intimidate other people? Or maybe even once did.

Sounds to me like the whole neutrality thing. You consider your kintype to be neutral, yes?
Basically, I think the whole thing is pretty much one of two things, depending on one factor. If previous to the dream, you had been spending time thinking about your possible past lives, then I would guess that the dream is just a reflection of your considerations. If not, and it was just totally out of the blue, then I would guess that it could have been symbolic from a past life.

Yes, hopefully not too far.
