 Spam/Virus warning
Reply with quote Report this post

Hi everybody. (This is a copy/pasted message from a forum I maintain - please take the time to read it.)

I just wanted to warn everybody who may have not already heard - a virus has recently been plaguing sites such as Deviant Art, Myspace, Last.fm and services such as MSN.
If you receive a message on any of these sites (or any similar ones) saying something such as 'LOL, I found this funny picture of you' or 'Check out this video LOL' or anything suspicious - DO NOT click on the link which accompanies it. It will load a fake log-in page and if you enter your login details it may access your personal details. Don't touch it, just delete it.

Spread the word and think twice before clicking!

This damn thing spreads like a worm through msn messenger as well, I've gotten this sort of message from two of my relatives (my older, not so tech savvy, sister, and my mum who was taught how to get rid of it by changing her pw).

People REALLY need to learn not to enter their account details in random places.
