 Need help with dream interpretation
Reply with quote Report this post

Not sure if this is in the right place, so sorry if it isn't.

I keep having a certain type of dream, and I believe its my subconcious or some other force trying to send me a message that I am just not getting, thus the repitition.

I am on a schoolbus, or occasionally in a taxi, and the driver takes me out in the middle of nowhere. I worry about how I am going to get home. Usually I somehow anger the driver, and so they drop me off in no-man's land. I feel lost and helpless and don't know what to do.

Anyone have an idea as to what this could mean?

NOTE: both taxi and bus are means of public transportation, and both are yellow. (obviously). I just think that might be significant somehow.

I'm going to go with the obvious and suggest that you "feel lost and helpless and don't know what to do" about some significant aspect of your life.

*facepalm*

That was obvious.

Maybe that's it. If the dream happens again, I'll know thats not it. If it doesn't, then I guess you figured it out!

Also, being driven by someone else, and driven somewhere you may not want to go are suggestive that you feel out of control about something. As if you're not in the driving seat of your life or with an issue in your life.

Good point, though that depends on individual circumstances.

For example, I don't drive - so when I'm in a car in dreams I'm in the passenger seat by default. When I dream about actually driving, I am out of control and in unfamiliar territory.

(This is one example of why individual emotional response to a dream is usually much more important in interpretation, than are standard symbols.)

*nods* I'm actually similar, I don't drive either and any driving dreams I have are stressful. Yeah, my suggestion was more one of generalisation, but thank you for pointing out that standard interpretations can mean different things because of personal situations. Smile
