First off, kindly post an introduction up in the introduction forum so that we may all get to know you and properly welcome you to the forum. Second, I assume by "human" you mean they aren't otherkin as otherkin are technically human. We around here tend to prefer the term "non-kin" to avoid possible racism and issues with sounding like we're separating ourselves from the rest of the human race. Finally, I can understand why a therian would want to hang with other therians especially those sharing their theriotype, but at least you have people who can at least mostly understand you on an otherkin level.

Please tell us more about yourself if you would be so kind. I am not in that area, but I understand the need for others. I do not know any other kin in my own area, though I have a few non-kin whom know about my kinness and help me through my 'lonely' times. As much as we may want to say that we hate humans or hate being human . . . the fact is that is what we are.

We cannot morph, shift or turn back time. Try and adjust to those around you if you can. While they may not share the same feelings as you, their thoughts and ideas can sometimes open new doors.

There are a few dragonkin here Raistlin, I'm sure if you poke about for long enough they'll post. A physical dragon you might have a bit of trouble finding as, as far as I know, there are none here... unless you want to go to brazil and see the flying lizards which look a little like dragons.. only small...

I know how you feel about having a pack that aren't therians like us. I mean my wolf was an alpha in his day, so the pull of having a "wolf pack" is strong in him. MY pack does have 2 wolves in it(besides myself), but we also have 3 elementals, a vampire, a ghost, 3 fae, a wraith, a shapeshifter, an angel/vampire hybrid, and 2 non-kin(or at least they don't know what they are yet). Good luck with the dragonkin, I know some of them (at least the ones on this forum) are pretty cool. I unfortunitely have had experiences with most of the dragonkin I have met in person.

Actually one of my friends told me, during a discussion about magic, that he had a friend who was a witch who told him he had latent healing abilities. Later on he found out he was a kitsune (Shikagsu on this forum). I have met all my pack through him, or through someone he introduced me to. He knew they were otherkin when he introduced us, & told me so. The ones he didn't introduce me to directly, we found out what kin they were through aura scans, tarot card readings, & meditation sessions. They all live in Ohio except one who lives in Texas (but I met him in Ohio).

I know what it's like to be the outsider, Raistlin. I have spent most of the last 5 years alone. My family are non-kin as well, so I know what it's like to be in that situation. As for the friends issue, I'm trying to make some again. I was alone for far too long. If you would like to be friends, I wouldn't mind. Just let me know. Wink

You are correct but for one point, Oz. She didn't tell me of my healing abilities, I tinkered around to them on my own. The witch you speak of taught me the basics of Magick, but not healing, she just listened to my theories on that part Razz

Hello, Raistlin. I understand the need for a pack. I just moved, and left my pack behind. We stay in touch and all, but it's just not the same as seeing them every day.

I don't live in the Phoenix area, sadly, but I think my uncle used to live there...

If you wanna be friends, that'd be nice. Very Happy

It is my personal belief that actively looking for a pack of a certain kintype will cause you more harm than good, as well as trying to mold a 'pack' into specifically what youwant. Think about it, you even said that you already have a pseudo pack. Why drop what you have for some mythical idea of what things 'should' be? How do you think you 'current pack' will react when you suddenly drop them for this random 'new' pack?

I've been a part of two 'packs' despite not being a pack animal myself. Once the name for it came up people had to be 'Alpha', had to figure out who was 'Omega', and they crumbled into dust.

I can understand wanting some of your own kind, more therians, to hang out with, but my suggestion is to take what you currently have, and add to it as the Universe wills. Don't force things, just let things happen as they should. Don't be like ' Oh, you're dragon kin, you should totally join my pack!'. Trying to force things will only make everyone unhappy, and loose you friends along the way, especially since not all of the kin you meet will want a pack, but will be happy with just a group of friends, or a family.

Trust me on this, I've been there twice.
