 Sensing Objects - Force
Reply with quote Report this post

I was reading over some elementary physics material out of boredom, and got to the topic of reactions. Everyone has heard of it - for every reaction there is an equal an opposite reaction. Okay, how does this relate to sensing objects?

Well first, let me go into this a little bit more. Gravity is a force. If you drop a ball, the reaction is gravity. So what is the reaction? The same thing - gravity. The earth is pulling on the ball, and the ball is pulling on the Earth. It's very slight, and unnoticeable, but it exists. This is where I tried connecting the dots.

Ever since I began sensing objects, I thought it felt like the object was pulling me toward it. Does anyone else have this feeling? Therefore, perhaps what I'm sensing is the force that object is exerting on me. Does this hold any significance? On it's own....no not really. This is just for interested readers. However, later on, it might be of some use.

That's actually very accurate and important. I was going to be a physics major but decided against, i was quite the geek however and did a simulation once of what would happen if you just removed one planet from the solar system we live in. Did you know that if Pluto wasn't there (as in it's mass didn't exist at all) the entire solar system would be slowly sucked into the sun. All life on earth would be gone in a matter of decades and within a few million years even the galaxy would be degrading. Of cousre blowing up Pluto wouyld be a different story b/c the mass would still be around, just in different places which would allow for an opposite effect somewhere else, negating it's destruction.

Anyway what you said, Clody, is really cool stuff. I can feel obects sometimes as well, and have even done telekenesis, only once ever though.

Maybe that's the Force that the Jedi use. lol, sorry i had too, although it might be.... (i'll just fade myself out slowly there Embarassed )

*laughs at Jedi joke*

Very interesting with pluto - I had never known that. And incredible considering how small its mass is compared to the rest of the solar system.

sometimes even the smallest gram weights can tip the scale in a physics experiment ^_^

As for being drawn towards objects, I totally agree, and actually, I often experience that myself. Though I'm not as skilled as I would like to be, I work on item creation, I've always had a drawing to items and such. Crystals, jewelry, even wands and other tools, and of course, sharp objects ^_^U I think I can blame that one largely on my guardian ^_^U

If you'd like to discuss it further, I'd like that ^_^ (heh, I like to discuss meta-physics, my core weakness Razz)

I'm not sure if I have anything else to say on it, unless discussion brings up new ideas. It's just one of those things that popped into my head so I posted it. I actually forgot all about it until a few days ago. Been focusing on other research, and trying not to blow myself up / electrocute myself (I'm creating hydrogen out of boredom since I don't want to buy helium).

heh... and here I thought I was crazy when I was grinding up wormwood at 4 in the morning and realized "wait a second... this stuff is poisonous and it's in powder form... but I'm not wearing a mask... oh sh**..."

I didn't see anything unusual (you know with Wormwood being a base of Absinthe and all,) but I never did go to bed that night.

...the idea knocked a bell inside my mind.Something tells me this is true.In the end ,all in universe is about energy, right?Take a regular stone and a crystal...both have their energies .Not similar, but something keeps them in one place.I was thinking many times about "feeling" the world around me,I guess I was afraid of what and how powerful that could be.It is never too late Smile

I think I've done this is two different scenarios.

One is while trying to walk around (wherever that may be) in total darkness. I can usually sense where objects are. For a while there, I thought that maybe I had just memorized where everything was, subconciously (as in the case of my house). However, I found that I can do it in places that I don't have mapped out, i.e. the middle of the woods. In this scenario, I don't feel any particular pull towards that objects, but that very well may be because I am trying to avoid them conciously.

Another scenario is when I first wake up. I don't always do this, but sometimes when I think that I might not know where I am (as happens sometimes when I wake up), I try to first sense things around me, feel the familiar energies, etc., so that I won't be bewildered to wake in my own bedroom (lol!). In this case, I'd say yes, I do feel a pull towards the objects. I'd describe it, perhaps inaccurately, as my own energies reaching out to make contact, and being drawn to the familiar energies. Maybe because my own energy lingers somewhat on those objects, and is both adhesive and cohesive, like water? I don't really know; just speculating here =)
